Capital District Flowers is the newest startup studio from Focus New York a floral, plant, and gifting company known for soulful design, strategic gifting, and high-touch service. We’re building something fresh and local here in the Capital Region and we’re looking for a reliable, creative assistant to grow with us from the ground up.

About the Role
This is a startup role ideal for someone who’s hands-on, flexible, and passionate about flowers. You’ll help design, prep, and pack floral arrangements, keep the studio running smoothly, and contribute to a growing business. Your input will matter, your creativity will be valued, and there’s room to grow with us.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with floral design: bouquets, vase arrangements, gifting
• Stem prep, hydration, vase cleaning, inventory
• Help fulfill and pack orders for delivery or pickup
• Light studio organization, plant care, clean-up
• Bonus: help create quick behind-the-scenes content for social media

Who You Are

• You have beginner to advanced floral design skills (we welcome all levels)
• You’re dependable, creative, and proactive
• You’re excited to grow with a new business and shape the studio with us
• You don’t mind wearing multiple hats — design, prep, clean-up, and more
• Bonus: You’re good with plants or have interest in content creation

Details

• Schedule: Flexible with preference for morning, weekend, or holiday availability
• Part-time hours
• Pay: $20–$30/hr depending on experience
• Studio-based work with occasional pickups or deliveries
