Location
This role is based in White Plains, NY and requires a minimum of three days per week in the office.
Note
Must have 5+ years of litigation support experience, a paralegal certificate, and the ability to work in the White Plains office at least three days per week. Defense litigation experience, New York State and Federal Court e-filing experience, and medical records review experience are strongly preferred.

Job Description
- Draft and prepare litigation documents, including pleadings, discovery demands, discovery responses, motions, subpoenas, and settlement documents
- Support liability and defense litigation matters from inception through trial
- Perform legal and factual research using platforms such as LexisNexis and Westlaw
- Process authorizations and obtain, review, analyze, and summarize medical records
- Prepare medical chronologies, records summaries, and case materials for attorney review
- Communicate with courts, clients, experts, opposing counsel, and co-counsel regarding case status and deadlines
- Schedule and coordinate Independent Medical Examinations, expert appointments, depositions, and related case events
- Manage and track case activity, deadlines, documents, and internal reporting needs
- Maintain accurate and organized case files in case management and document management systems
- Assist with mediation, arbitration, and trial preparation, including trial binders, exhibit preparation, and key case materials
- Support attorneys across the firm’s broader litigation footprint when needed
- Accurately record and maintain billable time in accordance with firm requirements
Qualifications
- 5+ years of litigation support experience
- Paralegal certificate required
- Defense litigation experience preferred
- Experience supporting liability, general litigation, insurance defense, or civil litigation matters preferred
- Knowledge of New York State and Federal Court rules and e-filing procedures
- Experience drafting pleadings, discovery, motions, subpoenas, and settlement documents
- Experience obtaining, reviewing, and summarizing medical records
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Experience with case management and document management systems
- Legal research experience using LexisNexis or Westlaw preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, proofreading, xrczosw and attention-to-detail skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and proactively meet deadlines
- Ability to work in a high-volume, deadline-driven litigation environment
- Associate’s degree or higher preferred
