CBS New York, the #1 station in the portfolio of Paramount Skydance owned television stations, is looking for an ethical journalist with a strong track record of success enterprising stories, breaking news and developing engaging, character-driven stories on a range of topics of interest to the tri-state area.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Must be a rock-solid journalist with excellent news judgment
• Must be an engaging live reporter who thrives on breaking stories and is skilled at processing information quickly and sharing important updates with viewers
• Demonstrate a high level of skill conducting interviews
• Ability to manage and meet deadlines
• Establish sources and contacts
• Must be a communicative and collaborative team member
  
  

Requirements:

• At least 10 years of experience reporting in a medium to large market
• Degree in journalism or a related field
• Fluency in Spanish is strongly preferred
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including fill-in anchoring on nights, holidays and weekends

Additional Information

Hiring Salary Range: $120,000.00 - 170,000.00.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
