Title of Position:Physical Education Teacher - Aaron Mossell Junior High School

Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of Next Generation Learning Standards and NY state assessments

• The ability and commitment to use technology as an instructional tool

• Ability to differentiate instruction for accelerated and delayed learners

• Flexibility, enthusiasm, creativity, and willingness to develop programs and collaborate with and support other staff

• Loyalty and evidence of being a team player and willingness to collaborate with staff

• Commitment to equity and inclusion of all members of the school community

• Strong understanding of the LCSD strategic plan and culturally responsive sustaining framework

• Strong understanding of fitness, health, and wellness

• Strong understanding of positive classroom management techniques

Requirements: New York State certification in physical education and health (strongly preferred)

Lifeguarding certification

Position Available: 2026/2027 school year

Salary: step 1 salary in approved collective bargaining agreement
