187. Senior Associate or Jr VP, Opportunistic Credit Fund (NYC)

Our client, an entrepreneurial multibillion dollar investment fund, invests in private equity and opportunistic credit with a focus on consumer/retail and services companies. They have a unique crossover model that encourages the PE team to support and work closely with their growing credit business. The credit business uses two main strategies: the purchase of dislocated corporate loans and the acquisition of fulcrum debt to take control of overleveraged companies. They have an outstanding track record of strong returns in both credit and PE. The fund would like to find a Senior Associate or Jr VP to support the head of credit with a broad set of skills. The right candidate has a fundamental credit skill set with strong modeling ability, the desire/tools to build their own network, an understanding of risk, and the EQ to work effectively across the firm and with other lenders and management teams. The strongest candidates should have 5-7 years of experience combining an investment banking Analyst program with opportunistic, distressed, or multi-strategy credit funds or hybrid value investing. Experience with consumer retail and service companies is a plus but not required. Compensation: $200,000 base + bonus+ carry. Qualified candidates may forward a resume to our website.
