Summary:
Come and join our growing Orthopedic Oncology Program at Westchester Medical Center and be part of a dynamic team dedicated to delivering high-quality, compassionate care to patients with bone and soft tissue tumors. We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and collaborative Physician Assistant (PA) to work alongside our board-certified orthopedic surgeons specializing in medically complex Orthopedic Oncology and Adult Reconstruction patients. This role is ideal for a PA who thrives in a complex subspecialty environment, values multidisciplinary collaboration, and is skilled in managing medically and emotionally complex patients. In this strictly ambulatory, non-operative role, the PA will play a critical part in improving patient access, supporting timely diagnosis and treatment planning, coordinating longitudinal care, and enhancing the overall patient experience.
Responsibilities:

Perform comprehensive histories and physical examinations for new and follow-up orthopedic oncology patients.

Evaluate patients presenting with bone lesions, soft tissue masses, metastatic bone disease, and other musculoskeletal tumor-related concerns.

Manage outpatient follow-up for benign and malignant musculoskeletal tumor patients, including surveillance and symptom-based visits.

Perform procedures within scope of practice and institutional policy

Education patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, surgical plans, postoperative expectations, surveillance protocols, and symptom management
Qualifications:

Candidates must be NCCPA certified and possess or be eligible to obtain an active applicable New York State license.

Ideal candidates will have prior experience in orthopedic surgery, oncology, surgical oncology, or a related specialty, although highly motivated new graduates with interest and abilities in orthopedic surgery will be considered and are encouraged to apply.

Candidates must possess excellent communication skills and demonstrate an ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
