Job Summary
We are seeking a Disaster Restoration Cleaning Technician to join our team! As a Disaster Restoration Cleaning Technician, you will leave from our Binghamton shop to work at different private homes & businesses throughout the Otsego, Delware, Chenango & Sometimes Broome/Tioga County areas. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has excellent communication and customer service skills, and enjoys learning new techniques and methods for cleaning. You will use company vehicles from our shop to and from the job sites. Normal hours are Monday - Friday 7:45 - 4:30 pm
You will have 1 on call night during the week and 1 on call weekend each month along with another member of the team to assist customers with emergency work required after hours. Some fill in dates will be required.Responsibilities
- Travel to a variety of locations to assist customers with damages in their homes as a result of water, fire, soot, mold loss or other emergency situations in their home.
- Move furniture or other customer’s items to clean and clean under/around them for detailed cleaning situations.
- Assist with Carpet & upholstery cleanings
- Communicate professionally and effectively with customers to provide peace of mind
- Work closely with other team members to complete a common goal
- Maintain all equipment used, restock supplies between cleanings, and overall foster a clean, safe work environment at all times
Qualifications
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- The ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
- The ability to work well within a team environment as well as on your own
- Strong problem-solving skills
- The ability to use technology for app based programs used to document cleaning and drying of homes.
- Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds
- Must be able to drive and have valid license
- Must be able to follow instructions
