Desktop Support Technician

Fox Corporation is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to work in our New York office. The technician will be responsible for providing best in class support to all levels of Fox employees. This is a key role, interfacing with executives and clients between the Technology department and across business units. This position is focused on delivering an engaging customer experience, while providing strong hardware and software support.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILTIESProvide assistance to employees walking up to the Help Bar.
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
Deskside equipment setups and moves.
Computer imaging and configuration.
Assist on Technology projects.
Log, update and follow up on support requests in ticketing system.
Ensure support meets the customer requirements as defined in the Service Level Agreements.
Provide operational support and maintenance of the Help Bar.
Work with the team to maintain the desktop and laptop asset inventory.
Play a major role in the adoption and promotion of new technology deployments.
Provide training and demonstration of technology to employees.
Establish and maintain close working relationships with other groups in Technology.
Communicate any escalation of issues and/or feedback to proper management.
Provide remote support to employees when Help Bar is closed for walk up.
Travel to provide support at other local Fox locations as needed.
Manage desktop, laptop, and peripheral inventory levels.
Coordinate ordering and procurement of equipment for new hires and existing employees.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
Formal education preferred in a technical discipline.
At least 2 years of experience in a Help Desk or Genius Bar environment.
Experience supporting customers of all levels.
Passion for customer support and ability to adapt to different environments.
Must be flexible, patient, and approachable.
Ability to handle challenging support situations with a calm and methodical approach.
Experience working with Microsoft Office 365, Windows and Mac environments. Okta, Box, Zoom, Slack experience a plus. Basic understanding of networks.
Experience with supporting mobile devices: iOS and Android.
Knowledgeable of latest and emerging technology.
Solid written and oral communication skills.
Ability to quickly and appropriately prioritize multiple requests and bring them to successful resolution.
Ability to lift and transport moderately heavy to heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals.
