We’re seeking an experienced, sharp, and proactive Senior Dispatcher/Scheduler who knows the five boroughs inside and out and can manage a high volume of field service operations with precision, professionalism, and urgency.
Position Summary
The Dispatcher will oversee day-to-day field operations by coordinating technician schedules, managing service requests, and ensuring all jobs are completed efficiently and on time. This role requires exceptional multitasking skills, quick problem-solving, and deep geographical knowledge of NYC to maximize route efficiency and technician productivity.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and oversee daily dispatching and scheduling operations for multiple service crews.
Coordinate field technicians and optimize routes for maximum efficiency across NYC’s five boroughs.
Communicate clearly and consistently with clients regarding scheduling, service updates, and changes.
Track technician performance, job progress, and completion reports; follow up on outstanding tasks.
Resolve conflicts, last-minute changes, or emergencies calmly and efficiently.
Collaborate with operations and sales teams to ensure jobs are properly prioritized and resourced.
Maintain accurate digital records of service requests, technician assignments, and client information.
Generate and review quotes for deficiencies or additional services as needed.
Identify opportunities to streamline dispatch processes and improve overall workflow.
Cross-train and support other departments as required.
Requirements
3+ years of proven dispatching/scheduling experience, preferably in a service, maintenance, or field operations industry.
Expert knowledge of the five boroughs — able to efficiently route multiple teams around NYC traffic and timing challenges.
Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in dispatch/scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Detail-oriented and highly reliable, with strong problem-solving skills.
Experience in fire safety, grease trap systems, or environmental services is a plus.
