The Charles Evans Center (CEC) is a Federally Qualified Health Center, providing comprehensive medical, dental and mental health services. The mission of Charles Evans Center (CEC) is to provide high quality, comprehensive healthcare to underserved community members with limited incomes including those with autism, learning and developmental disabilities, and behavioral and mental health concerns.

We are currently seeking an experienced Medical Secretary Assistant Supervisor to provide supervisory oversight and administrative support within a high-volume multi-location, multi-discipline health services center.

In this vital role, you will:

• Supervise and be a participating member of call center and front desk, including scheduling, training, monitoring performance, and providing ongoing feedback
• Ensure excellent customer service is consistently delivered to visitors, patients, and staff, both in person and via phone
• Triage phone calls and assign appropriate follow-up actions, distinguishing between routine and urgent care needs
• Oversee and manage appointment scheduling for all clinical services, ensuring efficient use of providers' time while maintaining quality of care
• Review and analyze call center data and trends to improve workflow efficiency
• Coach team members and hold them accountable to workflows, policies, and performance expectations
• Serve as the first point of contact for front-line escalations from patients or staff
• Provide guidance and supervision in the completion of intake procedures, including insurance verifications, pre-authorizations, and eligibility checks
• Train new administrative employees and provide ongoing training and professional development for current staff

We Require:

• Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
• Minimum four years of experience in a medical office environment. Prior call center experience strongly preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Proficiency in health record systems (eCW) preferred
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience
