Cardiac Electrophysiology Nurse Practitioner OR Physician Assistant

Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Cardiac Electrophysiology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing Arrhythmia Service at the Heart and Vascular Institute, at MidHudson Regional Hospital (Poughkeepsie), HealthAlliance of the Hudson Valley (Mary’s Ave and Broadway Campuses; Kingston), and New Windsor/St. Lukes-Cornwall Hospital. The ideal candidate will demonstrate experience with cardiac electrophysiology, including cardiac device management.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assessing and managing arrhythmia patients, pre-admission testing for cardiac EP procedures, cardiac implantable electronic device (CIED) interrogations, remote monitoring for CIEDs, and general support to Physicians and Medical Assistants, all while under the supervision of attending Cardiac Electrophysiologists, mainly in an outpatient setting, although occasionally including inpatient care.

Shift/Status:

• 4 days, 10 hour shifts
• 8am-6:30pm
• 2 days in Kingston, 1 day in New Windsor, and 2x/month in Midhudson, 2x/month in Valhalla
  • Please note:Candidatewillbe initially trained in Valhalla, but would primarily be based in our northern locationsonce orientation and training is complete.

Qualifications / Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or a Physician Assistant program
• Must hold a current New York State NP or PA license
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Cardiology experience required; Electrophysiology experience preferred
