Senior QA Engineer

McLaren Strategic Solutions is looking for a highly skilled Automation Test Engineer to support a cutting-edge GenAI-powered QE Automation Solution.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Playwright, Gherkin-based test design, GenAI integration, and full-stack application testing. This role will contribute to automating test generation, enhancing reusability, and supporting intelligent documentation and artifact creation.

Responsibilities

• Design and generate automated test cases and test data in JSON format.
• Develop robust Playwright automation scripts for front-end and backend validation.
• Convert functional inputs and business rules into .feature files using Gherkin syntax.
• Implement Scenario Outlines with Examples for scalable, data-driven BDD testing.
• Use LLM-based detection to identify and reuse step definitions and automation components.
• Identify and document missing automation components to enhance the framework.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate test automation within a full-stack environment (React, Ruby on Rails, MongoDB/Node).
• Work within a Python 3.11+ environment for automation orchestration and tooling.

Requirements

• 5 years of automation testing experience
• 5 years of test automation experience with Playwright and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• 5 years of software engineering experience using Python.
• Gherkin/Cucumber BDD test case development.
• Experience with JSON-based test data generation and API interactions.
• Familiarity with LLM-based tools and GenAI-powered testing strategies.
• Understanding of software architecture across front-end (React), back-end (Ruby on Rails), and databases (MongoDB/Node).

$70,000 - $180,000 a year

Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as role, work experience, education and training, skill level, market conditions, and the candidate's geographic location.
