Lead Histology Technician

LEAD HISTOLOGY TECH NEEDED IN NEW YORK - CLICK AND APPLY NOW! Laboratory Leads are an essential part of laboratory operations and regulatory compliance. This individual will assist in overseeing the daily operations of the lab, direct staff, ensure policies/procedures are followed/adhered too, and play an integral role in the coordination, monitoring, maintenance and growth of the department. Responsibilities Include:

Manages projects and workload assignments and timely completion by group. Plan and coordinate the daily operational activities for employees. Responsible for assisting in the day-to-day activities of the laboratory Responsible for quality and compliance with applicable regulations. Plans and maintains sufficient resources to accomplish group tasks. Takes ownership to lead and develop that team Supervises, trains, mentors and develops assigned staff. Ensures adherence to SOPs, regulations, guidelines, practices and policies. Coordinates, monitors, maintains, and improves productivity goals. Reviews quality controls of records, equipment and staff and performs quality control assurance on a daily basis Assists with responding to incidents and writing SOPs. Reviews maintenance and quality control records to comply with regulators, SOPs and quality standards. Other related job duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology from an accredited institution required. Licensed by New York State Education Department (NYSED) as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist, preferred. Minimum of 2 - 5 years' work experience preferred ASCP certification preferred
