PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project management and technical guidance for the design and implementation of projects associated with pipeline, measurement, process, and compression facilities. Participate in project scopes, bid specifications, cost estimates, project design, material procurement, drawing review, project inspection, and technical assistance during construction and commissioning, and processing job completion requirements for electrical and automation related projects. Interact extensively with various stakeholders, vendors, engineering firms, and construction companies. Design, support, and evaluate electrical power systems to ensure efficient and safe facility and pipeline operations. Participate in start-up and commissioning as well as resolution of open issues. Key stakeholder in development of technology to support system reliability at facilities. Provide direct support and guidance for power systems throughout the corporation as required. Participate in the development of electrical design including power systems, integration of classified areas, conduit and cable. Perform load and voltage drop calculations at the direction of the lead engineer. Assist with the design and specification of power and control systems, system layouts, load calculations, equipment sizing and selection, performing calculations of lighting systems and associated controls, and energy compliance forms.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. Basic understanding of the technical aspects of electrical engineering and design. Demonstrated experience via class work, projects, work experience in electrical engineering projects. Able to take portions of projects under the direction of a Senior engineer and complete those assignments with little supervision. Strong computer skills in Microsoft applications. Software experience in AutoCAD, EasyPower, and/or SKM is preferred. Field experience is preferred, but not required.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong oral and written communication skills, proven technical abilities and strong computer skills. The ability to work independently as well as within a team environment is highly valued. Exceptional time management and multi-tasking abilities are essential to success in this position. Energetic, self-motivated, organized, and innovative. Prior project management experience is preferred. This position will require travel to company facilities and project sites throughout Western NY and Northwest/Central PA, ; overnight travel requirements will be limited.HOW TO APPLY:
