Compensation: $27–$33 per hour

We are looking for a dependable, skilled Commercial Maintenance Technician to support a portfolio of commercial properties in the Troy area. This is a field-based position offering consistent daytime hours, a company vehicle, and the opportunity to apply a wide range of trade skills every day.

What You’ll Do

Maintenance & Repairs

• Perform preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance on commercial buildings and equipment.

• Complete assigned work orders accurately and efficiently in compliance with safety standards.

• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and facility-related issues.

• Perform emergency and routine day-to-day repairs as needed.

Multi-Trade Responsibilities

• Plumbing: Unclog drains and toilets, repair leaks, replace valves and fixtures, maintain automatic flush sensors.

• Electrical (within state guidelines): Replace fixtures, switches, outlets, bulbs, ballasts, and sockets.

• Carpentry & Painting: Drywall repair, surface preparation, paint matching, and general upkeep to maintain a professional facility appearance.

• Support general maintenance of walls, floors, doors, and building systems including HVAC.

Inspections & Documentation

• Conduct service and asset inspections as required.

• Use a tablet or smartphone to:

  • Access and close work orders

  • Document services performed

  • Submit service reports and inspection photos

  • Complete timesheets, expense reports, and purchase logs

• Obtain materials and supplies necessary to complete tasks.

Customer Engagement & Teamwork

• Build strong, professional relationships through direct interaction with clients.

• Maintain consistent communication with internal support teams.

• Provide estimates for larger repair or improvement projects.

• Participate in required safety training and weekly safety meetings.

What You Bring

Experience

• 2–5 years of general maintenance experience required.

• Hands-on experience in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, or HVAC systems.

• Commercial property maintenance experience strongly preferred.

• Ability to troubleshoot and repair building mechanical systems.

Education & Certifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Trade certification or specialized training preferred.

• Valid driver’s license in good standing required.

• Applicable licenses or certifications as required.

Technical & Professional Skills

• Ability to complete work orders on time and communicate status clearly.

• Comfortable using mobile devices and business software (Outlook, Word, Excel).

• Strong understanding of OSHA standards and safe work practices.

• Ability to read and interpret safety policies, manuals, and procedures.

• Strong communication skills and customer-focused mindset.
