Job Title: Ultrasound Tech

Location: Ithaca, NY 14850

Duration: 13-Week Contract (Extendable)

Shift: Day Shift | 12-Hour Shifts | 36 Hours/Week

Pay Rate: $62/hour on W2

We are seeking a skilled and patient-focused Ultrasound Technician for a 13-week contract position, with the possibility of extension. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations, working collaboratively with the medical team to support accurate and timely diagnoses.

• Conduct diagnostic ultrasound exams in accordance with clinical protocols and provider orders

• Operate ultrasound equipment to obtain high-resolution images of internal organs, tissues, blood vessels, and fetal anatomy

• Review patient history and physician notes to ensure appropriate imaging procedures

• Clearly explain procedures and provide compassionate care to patients throughout the imaging process

• Properly position patients to optimize image quality while maintaining their comfort and safety

• Identify normal and abnormal imaging results; escalate urgent findings for radiologist review

• Accurately document patient interactions and imaging results in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system

• Maintain and calibrate ultrasound equipment regularly; report and resolve technical issues

• Follow infection control and safety protocols in compliance with clinical and regulatory standards

• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare staff to ensure coordinated and efficient patient care

• Maintain active credentials and continuing education requirements per ARDMS or equivalent standards

• Assist in training or mentoring new sonographers or students when needed

• Contribute to departmental quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives

• ARDMS Registry (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) – Required

• Years of Experience: Two Years Plus
