POSITION SUMMARY
The Recreation adjunct leads or supports the activities as designated by the Directorof Therapeutic Recreation.

»Provides for the physical and psychological needs of clients, including physical safety, hygiene, clothing, basic medical care, if needed, in a reliable and nurturing environment.

»Leads or assists in the organization and operation of seasonal activities assigned to such as:

»Therapeutic Sports

»Ski and Snowboarding

»Summer Recreation and Prevocational programs

»Expressive Arts

»Experimental Wilderness Education (PACK)

»Clubs programming,

»Bike programming,

»Swimming Pool operations

»Agency special events

»Defines and monitors behavioral limits for clients within the program activity.

»Maintains the physical order of the activity area/facility.

»Transports clients in Agency vans as required.



Education and/or practice

»High School Diploma/GED

» practice planning and facilitating recreational activities preferred

Certifications / Licensure

»NYS Driver's License
