Now Hiring: Litigation Partner - Syracuse
- Lead and expand the Firm’s insurance defense and insurance coverage practice in the Syracuse office.
- Handle all phases of litigation, including case evaluation, discovery, motion practice, coverage analysis, and trial preparation.
- Represent insurers and insureds in complex insurance defense matters and coverage disputes.
- Appear in court, take and defend depositions, argue motions, and participate in mediations and arbitrations.
- Provide strategic guidance to clients and carriers on risk assessment, coverage interpretation, and litigation strategy.
- Independently manage a diverse litigation caseload, with support from a collaborative team.
- Mentor and supervise associates and contribute to the continued development and operational leadership of the Syracuse office.
- Collaborate with Firm leadership on strategic planning and long-term growth of the practice.
- Stay current on developments in insurance law, coverage trends, and litigation strategy.
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to the New York State Bar.
- 10+ years of litigation experience, with substantial experience in insurance defense and insurance coverage litigation.
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex litigation matters from inception through resolution.
- Leadership experience or demonstrated ability to build and guide a practice team preferred.
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and technology.
- Strong institutional backing for well-planned practice growth initiatives.
