Powersports Sales Manager - Kawasaki / Yamaha / Honda

Location: Bidleman Powersports / Bidleman Harley-Davidson – Rochester, NY About the Opportunity Bidleman Powersports is looking for an experienced, motivated, and process-driven Powersports Sales Manager to help lead and grow our Kawasaki, Yamaha, and Honda powersports department. This is a great opportunity for someone with sales management experience in powersports, automotive, RV, marine, or a similar dealership environment who has a true passion for the products, the customers, and the culture. We sell both on-road and off-road vehicles, and we are looking for someone who understands that this business is different from traditional automotive sales. Our customers are not just buying something they need — they are buying something they want, something they are passionate about, and something that connects to their lifestyle. The right person will understand the importance of building real relationships, creating repeat and referral customers, developing a strong long-term customer base, and creating an authentic presence in the local powersports community. What We Are Looking For We are looking for a leader who is highly motivated, positive, energetic, and willing to take ownership of their department. This person will receive guidance, coaching, and support from executive management, but will also have a large amount of control over the success and direction of the powersports sales department. Our facility is large, with significant room for expansion and a lot of untapped potential. We are part of a growing dealer group and are looking for someone who wants to invest in their future, grow their career, and be part of building something successful. This is also a great fit for someone who may currently be in automotive sales management but is looking for a more enjoyable, relationship-focused, and culture-driven environment. Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: – Manage and lead the powersports sales team
– Hold salespeople accountable to processes, expectations, follow-up, and performance standards
– Build a positive, motivated, winning sales culture
– Coach and develop team members to help them achieve more than they expected
– Manage inventory levels, stocking strategy, ordering, pricing, and aging inventory
– Understand the customer, the products, and the powersports market
– Use CRM tools effectively to manage leads, follow-up, customer communication, and sales activity
– Track and improve key metrics needed to grow the department
– Work with executive management on sales goals, inventory strategy, process improvement, and department growth
– Create a customer-first experience built around relationships, trust, and long-term loyalty
– Help grow repeat, referral, and community-based business
– Understand the importance of social media presence for both the store and individual salespeople
– Help grow the store’s online presence through authentic, regular, powersports-focused content
– Coach and hold salespeople accountable to creating content, building their personal brand, and staying active with customers and the local powersports community Qualifications The ideal candidate will have: – Sales management experience in powersports, automotive, RV, marine, or a similar dealership environment
– A genuine passion for motorcycles, ATVs, side-by-sides, dirt bikes, or powersports culture
– Strong leadership skills and the ability to build and grow a team
– Strong understanding of inventory management, pricing, stocking levels, and ordering
– Experience using a CRM and holding a team accountable to proper CRM usage
– A process-focused mindset with the ability to track and improve performance metrics
– An understanding of how social media, personal branding, and authentic content help build customer relationships
– Willingness to help salespeople grow their own presence and use social media in a professional, consistent, and authentic way
– A positive, energetic, and coachable attitude
– Strong communication and customer relationship skills
– The ability to balance accountability with culture-building
– A desire to grow with a larger dealer group and build a long-term career Compensation and Benefits – $70,000 – $100,000+ earning potential
