Position: Registered Nurse – Operating Room (Open Heart / CVOR) SNSN SN
Location: Schenectady, NY.
Shift: Days – 5x8s (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
Duration: 13 weeks
Job Duties
• Provide circulating and scrub support in open heart (cardiothoracic) operating room cases.
• Assist surgical team during cardiovascular procedures including open heart surgeries.
• Maintain sterile field and ensure OR readiness for complex surgical cases.
• Support intraoperative patient care and surgical workflow.
• Document procedures and coordinate with interdisciplinary OR team.
Requirements
• Active New York RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years OR experience in open heart / cardiothoracic surgery required
• Circulate and scrub skills required (checklist required)
• Open heart / CVOR experience required
• BLS required (AHA or American Red Cross)
• Prior travel experience preferred, not required
• Must be willing to take call (every 3rd weekday and every 3rd weekend)
• Flexible scheduling required (no block or self-scheduling)
• Must be willing to float within competencies
• Full SSN, DOB, and RTO required at submission
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
