Special Education Teacher - Full-Time (Hempstead / Uniondale / Wyandanch)

About the Job
US Medical Staffing is hiring a full-time Special Education Teacher for an established Long Island charter school network. Openings are available across multiple campuses in Hempstead, Uniondale, and Wyandanch.
This role works with students with disabilities and is a great fit for teachers who want long-term placement options. We offer temp, temp-to-perm, and direct permanent placements depending on what works for you and the school.
What You'll Do
- Teach and support students with disabilities in a charter school setting
- Develop and implement IEPs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
- Differentiate instruction to meet individual student needs
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress monitoring

Requirements
- Master's degree in Special Education or related field
- NYS Certification in Students with Disabilities
- Ability to pass NYS DOE fingerprinting
- Strong classroom management and IEP experience preferred
