Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine is recruiting for a Fellow/Clinical Instructor in Special Needs Dental Care program in the Department of General Dentistry. This is a one-year fellowship that incorporates clinical management and provision of dental care for persons with special needs, and student/resident teaching.
There is direct patient care involvement with dental rehabilitation provided at the Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine's outpatient facility, and surgical cases completed under general anesthesia in the operating room at the Medical Center. The program also includes seminars, lectures, and independent study resulting in case presentation at the end of the year.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must have a DDS/DMD degree from a US dental school accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA), and must be eligible for New York State dental license.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous oral rehabilitation experience on patients with neurodevelopmental disabilities.
