Facility Superintendent
Neave Group Outdoor Solutions is a leading provider of outdoor services, dedicated to maintaining exceptional standards across our properties. We are seeking a Facility Superintendent to join our team in Wappingers Falls, NY. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and efficient operation of our two-building campus. In this position you can be expected to work 8:30am–5:00pm, Monday–Friday ; snow season work may affect these hours.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on buildings, grounds, and equipment across both facilities.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and address issues as they arise, including during evenings as needed.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and equipment history.
- Inspect facilities regularly to ensure safety, cleanliness, and compliance with company standards.
- Coordinate and oversee work performed by third-party vendors and contractors.
- Develop and manage maintenance schedules for all building systems, including HVAC, generators, water systems, and security systems.
- Complete janitorial duties such as cleaning offices, restocking supplies, and maintaining restrooms and common areas.
- Handle minor repairs, including plumbing, electrical, painting, drywall, and general facility upkeep.
- Support IT hardware management, including tracking equipment and assisting with basic setups.
- Coordinate and document fire, water, and safety inspections.
- Maintain exterior areas, including parking lots, walkways, landscaping, and snow/ice removal during winter months.
- Receive and organize deliveries, manage office supplies, and assemble furniture as needed.
- Assist with special projects, insurance inspections, and support other departments as required.
- Operate equipment such as forklifts and hand-held power tools safely and efficiently.
- Exhibit professional customer service when interacting with staff, contractors, and vendors.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support facility operations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in building maintenance or construction.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing for extended periods, bending, lifting, and carrying up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with operating forklifts (training available if needed).
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and maintain a safe work environment.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to drive between company locations and occasionally longer distances as needed.
- Comfort with administrative tasks such as processing purchase orders, invoices, and maintaining maintenance records.
- Basic proficiency with technology, including asset tracking and supporting IT setups.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
