Mechanical Refrigeration Engineer-100% Remote

We're partnering with a well-established consulting engineering firm that's looking to add a Mechanical Refrigeration Engineer to its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with supermarket refrigeration design experience who enjoys solving complex technical challenges while working on projects for major grocery and retail clients.

What You'll Do

• Design and evaluate commercial supermarket refrigeration systems, including parallel compression rack systems.
• Perform refrigeration load calculations, equipment selection, piping design, and compressor/condenser sizing.
• Survey existing refrigeration systems and develop solutions for remodel and retrofit projects.
• Design refrigeration and energy management systems (EMS) that meet client standards and applicable codes.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, mentor junior staff, and review design work for quality and accuracy.
• Collaborate directly with clients throughout the design process.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 2–5 years of refrigeration design experience and an EIT working toward PE licensure , or
• Associate's degree with 5–8 years of relevant refrigeration design experience .
• Experience with commercial/supermarket refrigeration systems, including compressor racks, condensers, piping, and controls.
• Knowledge of refrigeration system types such as condensing units, distributed systems, cascade systems, and secondary pumped systems.
• Familiarity with supermarket Energy Management Systems (EMS).
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit .
