Bartender

Altro Paradiso is seeking an experienced Bartender.

From globally acclaimed chef Ignacio Mattos, Altro Paradiso is a Michelin-recommended Italian restaurant in the heart of SoHo and a staple of New York City's dining scene. Since opening in 2016, it has built a loyal following of neighborhood regulars and returning travelers alike, offering regionally inspired Italian cooking in a vibrant, light-filled space.

Altro Paradiso is currently seeking an experienced and hospitality-driven Bartender to join our team. We are looking for someone who is passionate about food, wine, and classic cocktails, takes pride in providing warm and attentive service, and enjoys working as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced restaurant.

Our bartenders are responsible for creating an exceptional guest experience both at the bar and in support of the dining room. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, thoughtful hospitality, and the ability to maintain a calm, organized presence throughout service.

This position requires availability on nights, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements for Success

• Previous bartending experience in a high-volume, quality-focused restaurant
• Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, beer, and wine
• A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences
• Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and composure
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with the service and kitchen teams
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and organization
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Desire and willingness to learn and grow professionally
• NYC Food Protection Certificate is a plus (or willingness to obtain, if applicable)

Guest Service

• Ensures all guests consistently receive courteous and efficient service
• Responds positively and promptly to customer concerns and complaints
• Communicating any food allergy or special nutrition needs to kitchen staff
• Maintain a welcoming and orderly restaurant environment
• Builds relationships with repeat guests
