Lawn Care Technician

Locations: Rochester, NY Additional Locations: N/A Work Site: On Site Req ID: 220412 Compensation Data Salary: $20 - $30 hourly (Depending on experience, certifications and licensing) Position Overview Performs fertilization and pest management on shrubs and lawns using spray and injection tools by performing the following duties. Job Duties What You’ll Do:- Cultivate your career and fertilize your future!
- Applying weed control/herbicides/fertilizer and so much more.
- Communicate and educate the client regarding the diagnosis and the prescribed pest control, aerification and fertilization service(s) with customers.
- Continuously monitor lawn quality and fertilizing methods after application and communicate progress to customers and supervisors.
- Drive, use, maintain and properly operate equipment (truck and sprayer).
- Love of the outdoors
- Required: Valid Driver's license
- Preferred: Background in Lawn/Turf Care & Landscaping
- Ability to complete the Davey Tree Qualified Lawn Care Tech training program upon hire
- Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
- Preferred: Relevant pesticide, CDL and related licenses and certificates
