RN/ LPN (Cheektowaga)

**Job Summary:**
The RN/LPN (Cheektowaga) will deliver nursing care under the supervision of the Medical Provider. This position is responsible for providing direction to Medical Assistants and/or Licensed Practical Nurses and performing various nursing duties to support patient care.

**Duties and Responsibilities:**
- Provide direction and guidance to Medical Assistants and/or Licensed Practical Nurses.
- Triage patient phone calls and patient visits.
- Provide case management for patients.
- Deliver care to patients requiring nurse-only visits.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work environment.
- Perform supportive duties to maintain efficient patient flow.
- Prepare rooms and assist Medical Providers with examinations and procedures.
- Perform routine diagnostic tests.
- Collect and process specimens.
- Prepare and administer medications as directed by the healthcare provider.
- Review lab results and report abnormal findings to the providers.
- Maintain supplies for patient rooms.
- Participate in quality improvement activities.
- Communicate effectively with patients and staff.
- Maintain a professional manner in interacting with patients and staff.
- Maintain the integrity of the medical record.
- Document activities in appropriate logs.
- Provide patient education.

**Physical Demands:**
This role requires periods of sitting, standing, walking, bending, and stooping. Evening work may be required.

**Minimum Qualifications:**
- Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of New York.
- Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
- One year of experience in an ambulatory healthcare setting.
- Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
- Three years of experience in an ambulatory healthcare setting.
- Experience with an Electronic Medical Record System.

**Pay Range:**
- RN: $31.61 - $38.15/hr.
- LPN: $21.91 - $26.45/hr.
