Accountant - Hybrid
- Supporting month-end close, including financial statement preparation, to ensure timely reporting within 5 business days.
- Perform variance analysis to compare actual results against budgets, forecasts, or prior periods, and provide explanations for discrepancies.
- Maintains the general ledger.
- Codes invoices, sets up new accounts, reconciles accounts, and closes the monthly books.
- Reconciles bank accounts at least monthly, verifies deposits, and addresses inquiries from banks.
- Reconciles customer accounts and manages accounts receivable collections.
- Verifies payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are charged to the appropriate accounts.
- Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit.
- Files required tax forms with federal, state, and local government agencies.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• At least two years’ experience in a public accounting, public company or private company accounting/finance department.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulations.
• Exposure to data analysis, risk management, and forecasting methods.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Knowledge of ERP software.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

The band range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, education, experience, training, certifications, internal equity, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at, or near, the top of the range for their role; and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The range for this role is $70,000 - $120,000.
