Overview :

Location: Remote

Salary: $50,000 - $65,000

We are seeking a QA Engineer who will support our client by ensuring the reliability, performance, and overall quality of software applications through comprehensive testing, validation, and continuous improvement of testing practices. This role will be an integral member of an Agile delivery team to validate requirements, designs, and new software components while tracking progress, identifying defects, and supporting planning and estimation activities. The ideal candidate will have strong debugging skills including SQL analysis, familiarity with modern web technologies, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients during UAT activities.

Duties :

• Develop detailed test cases and execute manual, integration, regression, and performance testing across the SDLC.

• Validate requirements, designs, and new software components to ensure quality and functionality.

• Investigate and reproduce defects and customer-reported issues to determine root cause.

• Advocate for quality-centered engineering best practices and process improvement initiatives.

• Utilize tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira for defect tracking and test management.

• Contribute to building and enhancing test frameworks, tools, and testing techniques.

• Develop and maintain detailed test cases following industry testing best practices

• Ensure product readiness by validating requirements, designs, and new software components

Mandatory Qualifications :

• 1 - 3 years of experience performing formal quality assurance

• 1 – 3 years of experience creating detailed test cases and following testing best practices.

• 1 – 3 years of experience with modern web technologies/frameworks

• 1 – 3 years of experience with ticketing systems such as ADO (Microsoft Azure DevOps) or Jira.

• 1 – 3 years of experience with load and performance testing

• Strong Microsoft Office applications skills (preferably with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access)

• Experience creating and implementing test frameworks.

• Demonstrated understanding of the software product development life cycle.

• Knowledge of SQL for analysis and debugging

• Iterative testing experience (Agile/Scrum) UAT exposure with client meetings.

• Strong communication and influencing skills, and professional business demeanor.

• Ability to work collaboratively and lead testing initiatives.

• Highly motivated, able to learn quickly, and accountable for committed results.

• Adept and passionate for learning the latest testing technologies, tools, and frameworks.
