Position Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical/Surgical

Location: Elmhurst, NY 11373

Weekly Hours: 36 – 40 hours

Schedule: Night Shift | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Duration: 14 weeks (with high potential for extension or permanent placement)

Position Overview:
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg to join a dynamic acute care team. The RN will provide comprehensive patient care, support recovery, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes for patients.

Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Provide direct bedside care to medical and post-surgical patients
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses
• Perform wound care, IV insertions, and catheterization
• Monitor vital signs and report changes promptly
• Operate and adjust medical equipment as needed
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and records
• Collaborate with healthcare teams on discharge planning
• Educate patients and families on procedures and recovery care
• Follow all nursing protocols, standards, and safety guidelines

Required Qualifications:

• Active New York State RN License (Primary Source Verified)
• AHA BLS Certification

Education:

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited institution

Experience & Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience
• Experience in acute care hospital or post-acute setting
• Most recent experience within the past year
• Strong clinical knowledge in patient care and treatment

• Physical assessment and clinical evaluation
• Medication administration
• Wound care and infection control
• IV therapy and post-operative care
• Telemetry monitoring
• Patient education and communication
• EMR/EHR systems (EPIC preferred)
