Responsibilities

• The long-term goal of this role is to build and maintain Ataraxis backend: infrastructure, databases infra/ops/ETL, integrations.

• In the first few months of the role, you will own implementation and enforcement of all security & privacy controls for quality and regulatory frameworks (SOC 2, ISO, HIPAA, GDPR, FDA, CE).

• Generate and maintain system infrastructure and data flow diagrams.

Qualifications

• Strong backend development skills with Python proficiency.

• Solid understanding of databases, operating systems, networking, distributed computing.

• Proficiency with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS).

• Preferred experience: PyTorch, Terraform, ML orchestration, AI inference optimization, Docker.

• Experienced with modern software development stack (Cursor/other AI IDEs), heavily leaning on using AI tools to iterate quickly.

• Exceptional communication skills, both in writing and verbally. You should document your code, work and progress thoroughly and consistently.

• Experience with quality, compliance and regulatory (especially for software as a medical device) is nice to have but not required.
