Duties Description Overview of Office:The mission of the Integrated Eligibility System (IES) is to enhance the well-being of New Yorkers by transforming health and human service delivery through coordinated business practices, modernized technology, and strategic partnerships.Job Duties:- Assist in coding, testing, debugging, and maintaining applications using languages such as Java, Python, .NET, or SQL.- Participate in analyzing business requirements, documenting workflows, and transitioning legacy systems to modern platforms.- Support data management tasks, including database updates, querying, and creating reports or dashboards (e.g., using MS Excel, SQL, or visualization tools).- Assist with security compliance monitoring, software patching, and supporting network/data center operations.- Prepare technical reports, user documentation, and maintain inventory records for IT assets.- Assist with project planning, attending team meetings, and coordinating with stakeholders.Preferred Skills:- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, Python, C++).- Experience with SQL and relational databases.- Basic understanding of networking concepts and Windows/MacOS/Linux operating systems.- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.- Familiarity with programming concepts and common software (MS Office Suite, etc.).- GPA of 2.0 or higher.

Minimum Qualifications - Must be a US citizen or foreign national eligible to work in the United States- Must be 18 years of age or older- Must be currently attending a New York State college, university or graduate program, or be a resident of New York State attending a college, university or graduate program outside of New York State- Must have completed a minimum of one (1) year as a student at a degree-granting two or four-year college or university (completion of one year's worth of academic credits over a more extended period of time may qualify part-time students) OR currently enrolled graduate student or accepted in a graduate degree program- Must have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 or equivalent to a C.
