Strategic Sourcing Category Director - Telco Network
- Develop and maintain category plans that identify opportunities for operational efficiencies, drive cost savings, manage risk, improve safety, drive innovation, and ensure the continuous development of categories managed. - Direct a team of Procurement professionals and managers. Assume complete responsibility for all activities and processes associated with the categories assigned.
- Identify potential improvement opportunities using procurement reporting and analysis of management information. - Identify innovative procurement solutions that provide cashable savings and process efficiencies for the organization.
- Address vendor issues to ensure the highest level of service delivery. - Enhance contractual and business relationships with vendors.
- Manage the company's acquisition strategies by completing the due diligence and integration activities for the spend categories.
- Facilitate implementation of procurement change initiatives within the category to improve business performance. - Establish best procurement practices to lead and manage procurement teams.
- Develop and maintain expert knowledge of respective global supply markets, competitors, and product innovations. Job Specific Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans for Telco Network and CCaaS services, aligned with business goals and technology roadmaps.
- Identify, evaluate, and manage key suppliers in the CCaaS and Telco space. Lead negotiations and contract management to ensure optimal value and performance.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and market dynamics in CCaaS and telecommunications to inform sourcing decisions.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders including IT, Finance, Capture, and Legal to understand requirements and ensure alignment with sourcing strategies.
- Drive cost savings initiatives while managing risk, compliance, and service quality across the supplier base.
- Lead end-to-end sourcing events including RFPs, RFIs, and vendor evaluations for CCaaS platforms and Telco services.
- Negotiate complex agreements including SLAs, pricing models, and performance metrics for CCaaS and Telco services.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Telecommunications, Engineering or related field.
- 10 years of strategic sourcing or category management experience, with at least 3 years focused on Telco Network and CCaaS .
- Deep understanding of CCaaS platforms (e.g., Genesys, Amazon Connect, NICE, etc.) and telecommunications infrastructure.
- Demonstrated success building and motivating high-performing team members.
- Proven track record of leading sourcing initiatives and delivering measurable value.
- Strong negotiation, business acumen, analytical, and project management skills.
- Experience working in a matrixed global organization.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Strong leadership, collaboration and influencing skills.
Familiarity with cloud-based contact center technologies and digital transformation initiatives.- Experience with procurement tools (e.g., Ariba, Coupa) and contract lifecycle management systems.
- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements in telecom and CCaaS
