Bethpage, Long Island, New York COMPANY PROFILE:
This organization is the largest physician-led outpatient medical practice in the greater New York City metro area with more than 35 offices serving 500,000 patients per year. In addition to robust primary care offerings, they also operate specialty service lines in cardiology, pediatrics, dermatology, endocrinology, podiatry, behavioral health, and much more. Their staff of more than 400 physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants are supported by dedicated team members, with resources such as on-site laboratory and radiology services. They are currently hiring due to growth. POSITION DESCRIPTION:
This position is a non-invasive cardiology role providing services that include, but are not limited to, diagnosis, treatment, coordination of care, preventive care, and health maintenance. Specific duties of the role include, but are not limited to: - review patient histories and perform physical examinations
- evaluate, diagnose, treat, and care for disorders/diseases of the cardiovascular system
- perform a wide range of non-invasive cardiology procedures
- diagnose patients with the aid of diagnostic images, electrocardiograph recordings, etc.
- heart disease early prevention screenings
- cardio and vascular disease early prevention detection screenings
- metabolic and peripheral vascular disease testing
- echocardiography and stress echo testing
- pacemaker and defibrillator monitoring
- provide quality clinical diagnostic skills in the delivery of patient care
- review all test results and recommend suitable management for patients
- prescribe medications
- formulate ongoing treatment and disease management plans
- provide relationship-centered care, taking into account psychosocial and physical needs
- collect and record patient information, such as histories, reports, and examination results
- maintain complete and accurate medical records
- communicate effectively with the clinical team to ensure total delivery of quality care
- participate in medical staff educational programs and meetings A variable number of patients per day are seen, based upon provider preference for patient volume and types of appointments scheduled. All visits are prepped and supported by dedicated clinical assistants. The practice utilizes the Epic EHR. REQUIREMENTS:
- New York medical license
- DEA
- Board Certification or Eligibility
- Cardiology, Nuclear Cardiology, and/or Echocardiography credentials required
