Project Manager (Construction/MEP)

About the Position: We are seeking a Construction Project Manager to oversee all facets of our New York City-based projects. The ideal candidate will have 3–8 years of experience with a strong background in field operations and construction means and methods. You will be responsible for leading projects confidently, managing multi-stakeholder client relationships, and applying innovative management techniques to maximize performance and safety. Key Responsibilities Project Oversight: Manage the full construction process, ensuring projects progress according to the baseline and CPM schedules. Advise senior management on schedule impacts and recovery plans. Design & Bid Coordination: Provide cost and constructability input during the design phase. Coordinate the bid process, including pre-bid walkthroughs. Technical Administration: Manage RFIs and the submittal process using platforms such as Procore, E-builder, or Submittal Exchange. Compile detailed Change Order packages and maintain logs. Field Coordination: Schedule, supervise, and coordinate all contractor and subcontractor activities. Lead construction meetings and generate formal minutes for stakeholders. Safety & Quality Culture: Create and enforce a project culture of safety. Ensure all work complies with project specifications, drawings, and quality control procedures. Client Management: Maintain and develop relationships with high-needs clients, effectively educating them on the construction process and responding to concerns professionally. Reporting: Prepare monthly progress reports and work with contractors to develop detailed "look-ahead" schedules. Required Qualifications Experience: 3–8 years of professional experience in field operations and construction means and methods. Technical Knowledge: Required knowledge of MEP, HVAC, Boilers, and Chillers within commercial, institutional, or public sector facilities. Safety Certification: OSHA Site Safety Training (SST-62) is strictly required. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to relay confidence and authority to clients and subcontractors. Organizational Skills: Capable of maintaining extensive project documentation and managing multiple activities simultaneously. Travel: Ability to travel to assigned construction sites throughout the NYC metro area. Preferred Qualifications Process Knowledge: Familiarity with the design and commissioning process. Certifications: PMP certification is a plus (or a desire to obtain it). Software: Experience utilizing FTP sites and construction management software (Contract Manager, Procore, etc.).
