Bar Manager
Boo are the first phase of a new hospitality project created by a veteran New York team
with decades of experience opening, operating, and evolving some of the city's most
respected concepts. We're looking for an experienced Bar Manager / Beverage Lead to help build, not
simply manage our beverage program and become an integral part of shaping its
future. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who believes great bars are built
through thoughtful hospitality, exceptional products, genuine collaboration, and
relentless attention to detail. Our Philosophy
Our approach is rooted in classic technique with a quietly unexpected point of view. We value timeless cocktails, beautiful wine, exceptional coffee and tea, and an equally
thoughtful zero-proof program. Every beverage should be balanced, purposeful,
visually compelling, and never overworked. Creativity comes through restraint,
seasonality, craftsmanship, and an understanding of flavor—not novelty for novelty's
sake. We aim to create a bar that is sophisticated without pretension, welcoming without
compromise, and memorable because every detail—from the music and lighting to the
final garnish has been thoughtfully considered. Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Bar Manager, Lead Bartender, or Beverage Manager in an upscale cocktail bar, hotel, or hospitality-driven concept.
- Proven leadership experience managing a high-performing bar team.
- Deep knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, wine, beer, coffee, tea, and contemporary zero-proof beverages.
- Strong understanding of traditional recipes and techniques alongside modern beverage trends.
- Knowledge of vegan and plant-based cuisine and thoughtful beverage pairing.
- Experience or interest in botanicals, fermentation, seasonal ingredients, teas, shrubs, cordials, house-made ingredients, superfoods, adaptogens, mushrooms, and functional beverages.
- Strong understanding of ordering, inventory, beverage costing, scheduling, and vendor relations.
- Exceptional attention to detail, cleanliness, organization, and consistency.
- Current Food Handler Certification (or ability to obtain immediately).
- Ability to lead by example in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Lead the daily operation of the bar.
- Help develop and evolve our cocktail, wine, beer, coffee, tea, and zero-proof beverage programs.
- Recruit, train, mentor, schedule, and inspire the bar team.
- Build systems that support consistency, efficiency, and exceptional hospitality.
- Manage inventory, ordering, beverage costs, and vendor relationships.
- Collaborate closely with leadership as the project grows.
- Opening experience.
- Strong wine knowledge.
- Coffee program experience.
- Experience creating outstanding low- and no-ABV programs.
- Experience with fermentation and house-made beverage components.
- You personally follow a plant-based or vegan lifestyle and have a genuine appreciation for plant-forward food and hospitality.
- A passion for art, architecture, design, music, travel, and culture.
one. We're looking for someone who takes ownership, leads with integrity, values
craftsmanship, and believes that the smallest details create the most memorable
experiences. If that sounds like you, we'd love to meet you.
