Garde Manger Line Cook
Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced, passionate, and highly motivated Garde Manger Line Cook to join our fast-paced, fine-dining kitchen.
This position is for someone who takes genuine pride in cooking, has a strong attention to detail, and understands the discipline, organization, and consistency required in a high-level culinary operation.
Qualifications
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a fine-dining, luxury, or high-volume professional kitchen.
• Strong experience working the Garde Manger / Cold Station.
• Passionate about food, hospitality, and continuous culinary development.
• Excellent knife skills and strong understanding of classical and modern culinary techniques.
• Ability to execute dishes with precision, consistency, and attention to presentation.
• Highly organized with excellent mise en place and time-management skills.
• Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and professional station throughout service.
• Comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, professional, and willing to support the entire kitchen team.
• Flexible availability and able to work any day of the week, including weekends and holidays as required.
• Culinary school training is a plus, but not required.
Responsibilities
• Set up and maintain the Garde Manger station according to daily menu and service needs.
• Prepare salads, vegetables, cold appetizers, sauces, dressings, terrines, pâtés, and other cold preparations.
• Execute dishes consistently according to established recipes, standards, and plating specifications.
• Maintain proper mise en place throughout service.
• Work closely with the Chef de Cuisine and other line cooks to ensure smooth and efficient service.
• Monitor product quality, freshness, storage, and proper labeling.
• Maintain excellent sanitation, organization, and food-safety standards.
• Assist with prep and other kitchen responsibilities as needed.
• Contribute to a positive, professional, and team-oriented kitchen culture.
