CNC Machinist $24.00 - $32.00
Key Responsibilities - Set up, program, and operate CNC mills, lathes, and other machining equipment to produce precision components
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) specifications
- Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and cutting parameters for each job
- Perform in-process quality inspections using precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM)
- Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain dimensional accuracy and surface finish requirements
- Perform routine machine maintenance, including lubrication, cleaning, and minor repairs
- Identify and troubleshoot machining issues related to tooling, fixturing, programming, or material
- Maintain accurate production records, inspection logs, and work order documentation
- Follow all shop safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and adherence to OSHA standards
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to meet delivery schedules and quality goals
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing efforts
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency operating CNC mills and/or lathes (Fanuc, Haas, Mazak, or similar controls)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T callouts
- Experience with precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, etc.)
- Solid understanding of cutting tools, speeds, feeds, and machining best practices
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment
- Basic computer skills for reviewing work orders and documentation
