Duties Description Within the Division of Youth Development and Partnerships for Success (YDAPS), the incumbent will: Supervise efforts to improve outcomes for vulnerable and system involved youth, generally between the ages of 14 and 24, through partnership, monitoring, oversight, and the provision of technical assistance. Candidates with experience supporting system involved youth are encouraged to apply. Tasks may include but are not limited to developing and supervising work plans related to supporting local services planning, collecting and interpreting programmatic data, producing reports, trainings, and technical assistance resources, consulting with partners, and conducting on-site program monitoring. This role may be asked to work closely with local departments of social services, departments of probation, municipal youth bureaus, community-based organizations, and other state agencies to effectuate their work. Helpful skills include organization and time management, supervisory skills, project management, the ability to build and maintain partnerships, the ability to review, understand, and interpret state and federal guidelines, and the ability to communicate complex messages to large audiences.Additional duties will be discussed in detail during the interview.

Minimum Qualifications One year of permanent competitive or 55b/c service in this title or in a title eligible for 70.1 transfer. This position may be designated 55 b/c and is subject to verification of applicant eligibility.

Prospective employees will be required to pay any necessary fees.3) For Division of Juvenile Justice and Opportunities for Youth (DJJOY) prospective appointees will be checked against the Staff Exclusion List (SEL) maintained by the Justice Center for the Protection of People with Special Needs. Prospective employees whose names appear on the SEL as having been found responsible for serious or repeated acts of abuse or neglect will be barred from appointment and may have their names removed from the eligible list(s) for the title(s) if applicable.
