Manufacturing Technician - C Shift

Akkodis is seeking a Manufacturing Technician - C Shift for a Contract to Hire with a client in Fairport, NY. The ideal candidate will be responsible for testing, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving PCB and electromechanical assemblies while ensuring 100% quality and safe production operations.

Note: C-shift - 10pm -7:30am

Rate Range: $25/hour to $32/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Manufacturing Technician - C Shift Job Responsibilities include:

• Test, troubleshoot, repair, and rework electro‑mechanical assemblies and through‑hole/surface‑mount PCBAs to meet quality standards.

• Operate and troubleshoot automated test systems (LabVIEW or similar) and provide testing support for engineering prototypes.

• Train technicians and assemblers on mastered processes while ensuring adherence to work instructions and safety practices.

• Maintain accurate process documentation, material inventory control, and ensure tools/equipment function as intended.

• Analyze failures, recommend process improvements, and support cost‑reduction initiatives.

• Communicate effectively with cross‑functional teams to ensure timely, detail‑oriented production support.

Required Qualifications:

• Technician or associate’s degree in Mechatronics, Electro‑Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.

• Minimum of 3+ years in electro‑mechanical/electronic product assembly and 2+ years in PCB assembly.

• Proficiency in PCB testing, troubleshooting, repair, and rework, including through‑hole and surface‑mount soldering, with experience using LabVIEW or similar automated test systems.

• Ability to read engineering schematics and work instructions, use Microsoft Office and production software, and work independently with strong attention to detail and communication skills.

Pay Details: $25.00 to $32.00 per hour
