Duties Description Rockland Psychiatric Center is currently recruiting a Licensed Psychologist to provide professional psychological services to individuals with mental illness.Candidates from outside or within State Service can apply.Psychologists at Rockland Psychiatric Center are part of an interdisciplinary treatment team and provide assessment and treatment to individuals with mental illness including:- Providing clinical leadership and program management- Conducting forensic or court-ordered assessments- Providing treatment and expert testimony- Providing individual, group, or family therapy and crisis intervention- Maintaining records and documentation

Minimum Qualifications Candidates from outside or within State Service can be considered for hire under the Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement - Statewide (NY HELPS) program if they are licensed and currently registered to practice Psychology in New York State.ORCandidates from within State Service can be considered for a competitive class appointment if they have one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.ORCandidates from within State Service can be considered for a competitive class appointment if they are reachable on the current Licensed Psychologist eligible list.To apply for placement on the eligible list, complete the Application for NYS Examinations, Form NYS-APP Additional information can be found on the examination announcement -

In order to be eligible for appointment and to maintain employment, you cannot be listed as an excluded individual or entity on any of the Federal and/or State Medicaid and Medicare exclusion lists (or excluded from any other Federal or Federally assisted program).
