Driver

Breads Bakery is a New York bakery dedicated to producing handmade breads and pastries using traditional baking techniques and providing our guests with an unforgettable experience. Breads Bakery is seeking a reliable team player to join our logistics team as a driver.

The driver is responsible for counting, tracking, and delivering products, ingredients, supplies and orders on our box truck from our flagship Union Square location to our other bakery locations, warehouse and guests. The position requires early morning, weekend and holiday availability and is a physically demanding role.

Skills and Requirements:

• Holds a non-expired driver's license with a clean record
• Punctual and dependable
• Experience in a similar role and/or background in hospitality industry (preferred but not required)
• Exceptional time management and attention to detail
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced, high pressure environment
• Remarkable communication and interpersonal skills, strong problem-solving aptitude, and ability to multitask
• A can-do attitude and excellent team player
• Technologically savvy (preferred, but not required)

Responsibilities & Expectations:

• Safely operate a motor vehicle in all settings within New York City and surrounding areas.
• Execute deliveries in a safe, thorough and, when applicable, customer-focused manner.
• Assist in packing, organizing and distributing products and orders- ensuring items are packaged, labeled and dated appropriately (if applicable) and distributed in a timely fashion.
• Maintain a 'Yes' mindset and troubleshoot through any obstacles that may arise; govern service recovery as needed with professionalism and sincerity.
• Communicate with all departments and Breads Bakery locations to ensure proper deliveries, inventory and quality are maintained- recognizing that every day presents varying needs and adjusting task prioritization thoughtfully.
• Maintain a clean, safe and aesthetically pleasing space in accordance with operations and sanitation guidelines.
• Foster a positive work environment and commitment to Breads Bakery’s values.
• Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards / requirements including meeting and qualitative or quantitative productivity standards
• Ability to maintain reasonably regular, punctual and regular attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards / requirements
• Compliance with all personnel policies and practices

Compensation & Benefits:

• $22-25/hour
