Key Responsibilities of the RN - Labor and Delivery - Travel

• Manage care for labor & delivery and high-risk antepartum patients
• Triage obstetrical patients
• Assist and circulate for high-risk deliveries and C-sections
• Use of intrauterine pressure catheter (IUPC) placement and calibration
• Conduct sterile vaginal exams
• Maintain and manage central lines, anticoagulation therapy, and monitor insulin drips
• Provide support for breastfeeding and lactation
• Administer and manage epidural and general anesthesia
• Interpret and respond to abnormal fetal heart rate patterns

Requirements of the RN - Labor and Delivery - Travel

• Valid NY RN license
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate
• Experience with the Allscripts charting system preferred
