Lead fire alarm installer

Position: Senior Fire Alarm Technician
Location: NYC + Outer Boroughs
Salary: $75,000 – $95,000 (DOE)
Schedule: Monday – Friday (Full-Time)
Overtime Available | Company Vehicle Provided | Travel Reimbursement Plan

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Fire Alarm Technician to join a growing fire safety services team. This role covers NYC, Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens, Staten Island, as well as Nassau and Suffolk Counties. You’ll be responsible for the installation, inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of fire alarm systems across diverse commercial and residential environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform inspections, testing, and maintenance on fire alarm systems to ensure full compliance and operational reliability.
• Diagnose system faults and execute repairs or part replacements efficiently.
• Maintain accurate service logs and reports for all inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
• Work with team leads, clients, and vendors to schedule service, respond to emergencies, and ensure minimal downtime.
• Stay current on fire codes and ensure all work meets NFPA 72, NEC, and other applicable standards.
• Provide courteous and knowledgeable service to clients on-site.
• Attend ongoing training and certification courses to maintain compliance and improve technical ability.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of fire alarm servicing experience.
• Strong working knowledge of fire codes and standards (NFPA 72, NEC).
• OSHA 40 certification required.
• Certificate of Fitness (S-98) for Fire Alarm Systems helpful.
• Proficient in troubleshooting, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance of fire alarm and suppression systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Able to lift and carry equipment; physically fit to work in varying site environments.
