Line Cook
Join the opening team at Trudie’s Tavern , the highly anticipated new addition to the RAD Restaurants family. Following the success of neighborhood favorites GERTIE and Gertrude’s , we are looking for passionate, energetic individuals to help us build this new chapter from the ground up. As a Line Cook at Trudie's Tavern, you are the engine of our kitchen. We are building a brand-new team and a new culinary culture from the ground up, and we are looking for cooks who are eager to learn, grow, and take pride in the food they produce. You will work closely with the Chef and management team to bring our menu to life, ensuring every dish meets our high standards for quality and consistency. This is a place for focused, energetic individuals who thrive in a positive, supportive work environment.
Schedule:
We offer both full-time and part-time hourly roles. Candidates can expect a schedule of 3–5 days per week, with standard shifts lasting approximately 8 hours. Please note that availability for nights, weekends, and select holidays is required. To ensure team consistency and operational success, we require a minimum commitment of three shifts per week.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Kitchen Culture & Growth
- Adhering to the Mission and Core Values of RAD Restaurants, prioritizing a kitchen culture built on fairness and respect.
- Fostering a supportive, ego-free environment where FOH and BOH work together as one team.
- Committing to continuous self-development; we want you to get better at your craft every single day.
- Maintaining a calm and professional demeanor, even during the busiest "rush".
Daily Operations
- Learn and maintain your assigned station, ensuring all prep is completed to standard and your area remains organized and clean.
- Execute menu items with 100% accuracy, following the Chef’s recipes and plating guides to ensure every guest has a great experience.
- Act as a primary line of defense for guest safety by meticulously following modifications for allergies and dietary restrictions.
- Develop a deep understanding of our ingredients, including where they come from and why we use specific seasonal products.
Product Knowledge & Communications
- Attend pre-shift briefings to learn about daily specials, menu changes, and any items that are unavailable (86’d).
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of all key ingredients and the specific techniques used in our kitchen.
- Understand the history and mission of RAD Restaurant Group so you feel connected to the larger community we are building
