Fleet Recovery Technician

We are currently recruiting a base technician to work in the Nassau. Working hours vary and you must be flexible to operational requirements. Please note that this is a full-time, permanent position.

What you will be doing

• Maintenance and repairs to all yachts and yacht equipment
• Proactive and preventative daily maintenance, checks and repairs
• Joinery and Structural subfloor repairs, window replacement, general cosmetic repairs (Spray & tip and roll application)
• Deck fittings and hardware removal and installation
• Fiberglass laminating, Fill and Fairing, Gel coat finishing and colour matching, Gelcoat fine finish polishing
• Completing turnaround service checks, yacht preparation and deck washing
• Ensuring the safety of all clients and fellow workers
• Assisting clients with queries and problems
• Assisting with the general running of the base
• Any other duties as directed by your line manager

What we are looking for

• Experience boat building and yacht structural repairs
• Experience of joinery and general construction
• Experience of fiberglass materials, agents and composites and the application of structural material
• Knowledge on gelcoat application and finishing
• Practically minded with an ability to solve problems
• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
• Experience in an end user customer focused environment
• Sociable and positive personality
• A strong team player
