Salary: $43,000 per GTA Contract

Minimum Requirements: NYS Certification

Desired Qualifications: Previous substitute teaching experience, preferably in an elementary school setting

Experience collaborating with classroom teachers to support student learning and engagement

Strong flexibility and adaptability, as the IGNITE special is primarily push-in to classrooms

Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in effective classroom management

Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families

Strong communication and organizational skills

Willingness to take feedback and engage in ongoing professional growth

Familiarity with math, science, or enrichment-based instruction preferred

Position Summary/Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging IGNITE lessons aligned to grade-level learning goals and enrichment outcomes

Collaborate with classroom teachers to support student needs, differentiation, and instructional alignment

Provide push-in instructional support across classrooms as scheduled

Participate in and, when needed, cover building-wide problem-solving meetings and CSE meetings

Maintain a structured, supportive learning environment that promotes positive student behavior

Communicate effectively with teachers, support staff, and administrators

Follow district curriculum, pacing, and instructional expectations

Complete other duties as assigned by the Building Principal and Director of Math and Science
