Developer

Akkodis is seeking a Developer for a Contract with a client in New York, NY. The ideal candidate will design and optimizes market‑data and trade‑processing workflows while supporting real‑time risk, PnL, and regulatory reporting .

Rate Range: $53/hour to $56/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Developer job responsibilities include:

• Develop and optimize high‑performance Spark and Databricks pipelines for trade capture, market‑data ingestion, intraday risk calculations, and post‑trade reporting.

• Build scalable Java/Spring microservices supporting trade booking, validation, reference‑data lookups, workflow management, and risk‑limit checks.

• Architect Databricks Lakehouse layers (Bronze/Silver/Gold) for trade lifecycle, positions, market data, pricing, and regulatory datasets.

• Implement real‑time structured‑streaming pipelines for quotes, orders, trades, confirmations, and risk‑engine outputs.

• Deploy data pipelines and services to cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) while enabling CI/CD automation, monitoring, and alerting for low‑latency trading environments.

• Ensure data quality and compliance by implementing lineage, audit logging, reconciliation rules, and controls for risk and regulatory reporting.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.

• 6–8 years of professional experience in backend engineering, data engineering, or distributed systems development.

• Strong expertise in Java microservices, Apache Spark, and Databricks/Delta Lake for building high‑performance trading, risk, and market‑data platforms.

• Hands‑on experience deploying pipelines and services on cloud environments (Azure/AWS) with solid knowledge of CI/CD, monitoring, and low‑latency production systems.

Pay Details: $53.00 to $56.00 per hour
