Laureus Sport for Good USA is a national nonprofit organization that uses the power of sport to improve the lives of youth and unite communities. Since 2012, we’ve invested over $30 million into community-based organizations, impacting more than one million young people. We support youth-serving sport programs through grants and capacity building, empower local leaders to drive social change, and organize the youth sport sector through convenings, research, and strategic advisement.

Role Overview

Laureus USA seeks a creative, strategic, and detail-oriented Marketing & Digital Engagement Manager to elevate our brand visibility, grow community engagement, and support fundraising through high-impact digital communications, social media, graphic design, and content creation. This role is central to amplifying Laureus USA’s mission and showcasing our impact to diverse audiences including donors, partners, media, and the communities we serve.

Responsibilities

Marketing & Communications Strategy

  • Support the Director of Marketing & Partnerships in implementing and evaluating a comprehensive communications strategy aligned with organizational goals.
  • Ensure consistent, mission-aligned messaging across all platforms, materials, and stakeholder touchpoints.
  • Develop compelling written and visual content (presentations, reports, newsletters, blogs, press releases, etc.) that tells the story of our work and impact.

Digital Engagement & Social Media

  • Develop and execute a robust social media strategy to expand reach and engagement across platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter/X, Facebook).
  • Create, schedule, and post original content; manage social calendars and online communities.
  • Analyze metrics to optimize content and grow Laureus USA’s digital presence.

Graphic Design & Branding

  • Design on-brand digital and print materials including social graphics, event collateral, pitch decks, reports, infographics, and more.
  • Serve as brand guardian, maintaining consistency and updating internal brand guidelines and templates.
  • Manage vendors and freelance designers when needed.

Website Management

  • Oversee Laureus USA website including content updates, UX improvements, and functionality in collaboration with web developers.
  • Ensure the website accurately reflects current programs, events, research, and impact stories.

Public Relations & Content Marketing

  • Support cultivation of earned media in partnership with PR agency; draft and distribute press kits and media materials.
  • Author blog posts and thought leadership content to position Laureus as a leader in sport for development.
  • Develop speaking points and prep materials for Laureus staff, athletes, and ambassadors.

Events & Partnerships

  • Lead marketing and communication elements for key events including materials design, promotion, and on-site digital coverage.
  • Collaborate with athletes, influencers, and corporate partners to support campaigns and social promotion.
  • Manage relationships with certain partners to support overall marketing, communications and fundraising efforts.
  • Attend key events and be on site to support overall event logistics and to ensure consistency across markets.

Development Support

  • Create marketing collateral and tailored decks for fundraising, sponsorship, and partner engagement.
  • Collaborate with the development team to highlight donor impact and communicate with supporters.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, or related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in marketing, communications, or digital engagement—preferably in a nonprofit or sports-related organization.
  • Strong writing and storytelling skills; able to translate data and impact into engaging narratives.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Canva required.
  • Experience managing social platforms and using scheduling and analytics tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Later, Sprout).
  • Understanding of website CMS (e.g., WordPress) and basic knowledge of SEO.
  • Video editing or production skills a plus.

EXPECTED SALARY RANGE: $70,000 – 80,000

Salary will be negotiated based on relevant skills and experience.
