This travel assignment requires OR circulator experience and offers coverage across multiple surgical service lines in a busy perioperative department.

- Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital perioperative environment
- Orientation: 3 days to acclimate and begin circulating

Responsibilities
- Circulate in the operating room across multiple service lines, including Orthopedics, General Surgery, Urology, ENT, GI, Spine, Ophthalmology, and Podiatry
- Maintain sterile technique, manage equipment and instrumentation, perform counts, and assist the surgical team to promote patient safety
- Monitor and respond to intraoperative patient needs, administer or assist with medications as directed, and document perioperative care
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and adjust the intraoperative plan of care; provide patient and family education as appropriate
- Ensure infection prevention practices and safety protocols are followed; prepare and turnover OR rooms between cases
- Participate in on-call coverage as needed and support cross-training to accommodate unit demand

Requirements
- Active New York State RN license
- ACLS, BLS, and PALS required (through AHA/RQI) and NIHSS certification
- OR circulator experience required; minimum 2 years working in the OR
- Ability to work in a fast-paced perioperative environment and cross-train across service lines
- Education: graduate of an approved nursing program with RN licensure
